Defend Our Future hosts Party Lines for a night of carbon-neutral comedy. Featuring cage-free bits, solar-powered riffs and special guests! Party Lines: Emissions Impossible dives into the murky – and often polluted – waters of our nation’s most fevered swamp, Washington D.C.
Party Lines is a monthly political comedy show at Good Good Comedy Theater in Philadelphia co-hosted by Joe Messina and Max Barth. The show includes monologues, bits, sketches, field pieces, interviews, and occasionally live music. Each show features a panel of local and/or visiting comedians and an interview segment with a political person. Past guests have included Daily Show correspondent Ronny Chieng, Independent presidential candidate Evan McMullen, and PA Green Party Chair Kristen Combs.
The featured guest is Pennsylvania State Representative Chris Rabb (D) District 200. Formerly a professor at both Drexel and Temple, Rep. Rabb is freshman lawmaker, father, author, social and environmental justice activist, and co-founder of the PA House Climate Caucus.
Defend Our Future is the Environmental Defense Fund’s non-partisan, millennial outreach, 501(c)(3) grassroots organizing project. As dirty energy industries gain influence and the new administration continues to ignore overwhelming scientific evidence, we look to push back against attempts to roll back our hard-won progress on climate change. Through direct student engagement, education and advocacy organizing, we are mobilizing the next generation of leaders to work towards a more sustainable future – curbing climate change and demanding the shift to clean energy.
Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for community members. You can purchase tickets from a Defend Our Future staff person on Temple and Drexel's campuses
