Come one, come all!
The Athletic Base Ball Club of Philadelphia invites you to The Philadelphia 19th Century Exhibition at the Navy Yard! Now in it’s FIFTH YEAR, the largest vintage baseball tournament in the Delaware Valley welcomes teams from New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware!
Vintage base ball (or base ball, as it was spelled in the early days) is baseball as it was played in 1864, by amateurs. Wool uniforms, outs on a bounce, NO GLOVES and witty banter that make for an entertaining afternoon.
First pitch is at 10:30am Saturday, 10am Sunday. Games will continue through the day across THREE FIELDS with the days’ final games starting at 2:30 Saturday, 3:30 Sunday. (Game times/match-ups subject to last-minute change).
Sunday at noon, join us for a "Picked Nine" game, inspired by the original 1870 All Star Game hosted by the Athletic Base Ball Club of Philadelphia.
Phoenix Bats, Shibe Vintage Sports, Wooden Indian Tobacco Shop, Mike's BBQ, Stockbridge Sewing Works, and The Franklin Fountain will be on-hand selling bats, shirts, ice cream and more!
There will also be FREE beer samples of some fine beers inspired by 19th century brewing.
ATTENDANCE is FREE
PARKING is FREE

Pack a picnic and come down to the Navy Yard and watch history, 9 innings at a time!
